UAE National Pavilion To Showcase Advanced Defence Technologies At SAHA Expo 2024 In Istanbul

The Emirates Defence Companies Council (EDCC) has confirmed the UAE National Pavilion's involvement at SAHA Expo 2024. This prominent defence and aerospace exhibition will occur from 22nd to 26th October in Istanbul, Türkiye. The event, now in its fourth edition, is recognised as the largest gathering for the defence, aviation, and aerospace sectors in Türkiye and Europe.

SAHA Expo attracts participation from over 124 countries and more than 150,000 visitors, underscoring its international significance. The UAE National Pavilion, organised by the EDCC, will cover an area of 656 square metres. This highlights the UAE's commitment to showcasing its capabilities on a global stage through a high-level Emirati delegation.

UAE National Pavilion at SAHA Expo 2024

This year's theme, "Touch the Game-Changing Technologies," emphasises the importance of technological advancements. It focuses on the Fourth Industrial Revolution and Artificial Intelligence's role in shaping future developments. The UAE aims to demonstrate its competitive edge in global markets by keeping pace with these rapid changes.

A group of leading national defence companies will participate under this theme. These include Halcon, Adasi, Al Tariq, Abu Dhabi Ship Building, Advanced Concepts, Katim, LDS, LLA, Malath, and Oryxlabs from EDGE Group. Additionally, Darwish Bin Ahmed & Sons and Al Jundi Magazine will be present as media partners.

Over five days, these companies will display more than 50 products and solutions marked "Made in the UAE." Their offerings include aerial systems, land systems, unmanned systems, precision-guided munitions, secure communication solutions, and multi-purpose vehicles.

Mona Ahmed Al Jaber, Chairwoman of the EDCC stated: "The council's participation in Saha Expo 2024 exemplifies the UAE's strong presence in the global defence industry by showcasing the latest products and advanced technologies developed by Emirati talents."

Strategic Partnerships and Global Presence

Muammar Abdulla Abushehab of Tawazun Council remarked on their collaboration with the Ministry of Defence: "Tawazun Council... remains committed to supporting the Emirates Defence Companies Council by providing essential resources to enhance the country's stature and showcase its defence manufacturing capabilities."

The exhibition will feature over 1,200 exhibitors from local and international companies. More than 400 official delegates are expected to attend alongside approximately 20,000 scheduled meetings.

Mona Ahmed Al Jaber further added: "Through the Council... we are enhancing communication and developing strategic partnerships to promote national companies in the defence sectors via a National Pavilion."

The UAE's participation aims to bolster national interests while strengthening defence capabilities globally. By promoting advanced products internationally—especially within European markets—the UAE seeks to maintain a strong presence at various forums worldwide.
