UAE National Pavilion Showcases Leading Defence Companies At Bahrain International Airshow

The UAE is enhancing its global influence in defence and aerospace by participating in the 7th Bahrain International Airshow. The Emirates Defence Companies Council (EDCC), with support from the Ministry of Defence and Tawazun Council, organises the UAE National Pavilion. This initiative aims to boost the international presence of Emirati companies, especially in defence, and foster new cooperation opportunities in regional and global markets.

The Pavilion showcases a range of Emirati firms specialising in advanced defence systems and equipment. These companies aim to display their latest innovations that align with international standards and sector advancements. Participants include Adasi, Halcon, Caracal, Barij Dynamics, Barij Munitions from EDGE Group, AMROC, GAL, MIRA Aerospace, UAE Space Agency, and Al-Jundi Magazine as the media partner.

UAE National Pavilion at Bahrain Airshow

Shareef Hashim Al Hashmi, CEO of Operations at Tawazun Council, remarked on the significance of the UAE's participation: "The UAE's participation in the Bahrain International Airshow is an exceptional opportunity to strengthen the strategic partnership between the UAE and the Kingdom of Bahrain in defence manufacturing, technology exchange, and expertise sharing." He highlighted the commitment to fostering cooperation in advanced industries to develop optimal systems for defence and aerospace needs.

Mona Ahmed Al Jaber, Chairwoman of EDCC, stated that participating in the airshow offers national companies a chance to demonstrate their industrial capabilities alongside global leaders. She noted that this engagement is part of broader efforts to expand global partnerships and exchange expertise. This aligns with EDCC's strategic goals to enhance relationships between national and international firms.

The Bahrain International Airshow takes place at Al Sakhir Airbase until 15th November. It is a premier event for aviation and defence sectors globally. The exhibition will host over 20 government entities from Bahrain, 11 sponsors, 223 delegations from 59 countries, and more than 186 exhibitors. For the first time, 12 international companies from Europe, Asia, and America specialising in airport ground services will participate.

This event serves as a platform for showcasing innovations and discussing strategies in defence and aviation. Spanning 14,000 square meters for product displays and 86,000 square meters for static aircraft exhibits featuring over 120 aircraft types both on ground and airborne.

Opportunities for National Companies

Al Hashmi further emphasised that this exhibition provides a crucial platform for national companies to present their latest solutions while connecting with international peers. "At Tawazun Council," he added, "we are committed to supporting our national companies and enhancing their global presence." This effort contributes to strengthening defence capabilities aligned with leadership vision.

The airshow includes air displays and seminars attracting experts from aerospace and defence sectors worldwide. It encourages dialogue on pressing challenges within these industries. The UAE's involvement underscores its dedication to expanding its role on an international stage through strategic partnerships.
