UAE Marks International Anti-Corruption Day With Significant Global Achievements In Governance

In 2025, the UAE achieved fourth place globally for Government Efficiency according to the IMD World Competitiveness Centre's report. It also ranked first worldwide for the absence of bureaucracy. These rankings highlight the UAE's commitment to improving government performance and efficiency by adhering to international standards.

The UAE places great importance on international collaboration to tackle corruption and financial crimes. The UAE Accountability Authority (UAEAA) was elected to the Executive Council of the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI). This occurred during the 62nd meeting of the Asian Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) in Baku, Azerbaijan. This election underscores the UAE's growing influence in global oversight.

The UAE is dedicated to combating financial crimes such as money laundering and terrorism financing. Its efforts have led to its removal from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) "enhanced monitoring" list.
