UAE Kuwait Relations Highlighted By Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award At Abu Dhabi Festival

The Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award will dedicate a full week from 29th January to honour the strong relationship between the UAE and Kuwait. The programme, held at the Award’s pavilion within the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Abu Dhabi, will combine cultural, heritage and community activities highlighting shared Gulf identity.

This initiative aligns with directions from the UAE leadership to recognise the longstanding ties between the two states. The events aim to underline historic and social links between their peoples, while also presenting the cooperative spirit that has shaped UAE–Kuwait relations across many decades in political, cultural and community fields.

UAE Kuwait ties showcased at Sheikh Mansour Award

During the celebratory week, the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award pavilion will host artistic displays tracing the evolution of UAE–Kuwait relations. Visual material will document diplomatic milestones and social connections. A dedicated symbolic tree will invite visitors to write messages expressing appreciation and affection for the State of Kuwait.

The programme of the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award also places strong focus on community participation. Productive families will prepare and serve traditional Gulf dishes, presenting regional culinary traditions to visitors. These activities are designed to support family enterprises, strengthen local livelihoods and illustrate the authenticity of shared Gulf culture in a festival setting.

Artistic and poetic performances will run throughout the week at the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award pavilion. Performers will highlight the depth of UAE–Kuwait friendship through verse, music and stage presentations. A dedicated lecture will review key historical stages in bilateral relations, from early cooperation to present regional partnerships.

Interactive cultural competitions will form another strand of the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award programme. Questions will cover history, heritage and customs from both Kuwait and the UAE. The organisers intend to increase visitor knowledge, especially among younger generations, while encouraging dialogue on shared values within the wider Gulf community.

Mouza Suhail Al Muhairi, Deputy Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority for Regulatory and Administrative Affairs, and Chairperson of the Higher Committee of the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award, states that these events seek to deepen public understanding of the historical and cultural connections between the UAE and Kuwait.

Al Muhairi notes that involving productive families and heritage activities reflects the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award’s support for local communities. The approach aims to empower these groups economically, protect shared Gulf traditions and transmit them to younger generations through updated, engaging and interactive methods adapted to festival audiences.

According to Al Muhairi, the Sheikh Zayed Festival offers an important national platform for the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award to present such initiatives, due to its broad visitor base. The Award intends to use its presence to reinforce national events, highlight cultural and social messages and promote unity between Gulf societies.

The Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award’s participation in the Sheikh Zayed Festival therefore serves a dual role. It celebrates UAE–Kuwait relations while also emphasising culture and heritage as links between generations. Through this week-long programme, the Award underscores values of brotherhood, cohesion and closeness among neighbouring Gulf nations.
