UAE President And Kuwaiti Prime Minister Strengthen Ties At World Governments Summit 2026
UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah during a working visit to the UAE. The Kuwaiti Prime Minister attended the World Governments Summit 2026 and held talks focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to deepen cooperation in economic, trade, and investment sectors. They stressed that closer coordination should support sustainable growth in both countries and reflect shared interests of the UAE and Kuwait and their peoples.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan highlighted the long-standing nature of UAE-Kuwait relations. The President referred to historic links, close social connections, and consistent mutual respect that characterise relations between the leaderships and citizens of the two Gulf states.
The exchange of greetings formed an important part of the talks. His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah conveyed the regards of His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, along with wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the UAE.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed the Kuwaiti Prime Minister to what the President described as a second home. The President asked that his personal greetings and congratulations be passed to His Highness the Emir on Kuwait’s National and Liberation Days, while wishing wellbeing and development for Kuwait and its people.
His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah thanked the UAE President for the warm reception and supportive messages. The Kuwaiti Prime Minister noted the participation of the UAE and its people in Kuwait’s national occasions, stressing that the "UAE and Kuwait: Brothers Forever" week reflected strong ties at popular and official levels.
Discussions also covered the World Governments Summit 2026 agenda. Both delegations underlined the importance of sharing experience in government administration, improving institutional performance, and supporting development plans in both countries to meet the expectations of citizens.
Key areas of UAE-Kuwait cooperation highlighted during the meeting included the following sectors:

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affair, alongside several ministers and senior officials. Their presence signalled institutional support for advancing agreements discussed during the talks.
The meeting reflected a joint intention by the UAE and Kuwait to maintain close coordination on regional and economic issues. Discussions on World Governments Summit 2026 and bilateral projects indicated that both countries aim to keep building stable, long-term cooperation across government and investment fields.
