UAE And Kuwait Strengthen Bilateral Ties Through Multiple Agreements During Sheikh Mansour's Visit

The UAE and Kuwait have recently signed several agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) to enhance cooperation across various sectors. These signings took place during an official visit by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Kuwait, with the presence of H.H. Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait. The event was held at Bayan Palace.

The agreements aim to expand strategic partnerships and support mutual development goals between the two nations. One MoU focuses on health sector collaboration, signed by Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad bin Nasser Al Owais, UAE Minister of Health and Prevention, and Dr. Ahmed Abdul Wahab Al-Awadi, Kuwait's Minister of Health.

Another significant MoU involves cooperation in land transport and roads infrastructure. This was signed by Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, and Dr. Noura Mohammed Al-Mashaan, Kuwait's Minister of Public Works & Municipality. Additionally, an MoU in social development affairs was signed by Shamma bint Suhail Faris Al Mazrui from the UAE and Dr. Amthal Hadi Al-Huwaila from Kuwait.

In the education sector, Sarah bint Yousif Al Amiri, UAE Minister of Education, signed an MoU with Sayed Jalal Sayed Abdul Mohsen Al-Tabtabaei from Kuwait. This agreement aims to foster educational collaboration between the two countries.

The industry and advanced technology sector also saw a new MoU signed by Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber from the UAE and Khalifa Abdullah Dhahi Al-Ajeel Al-Askar from Kuwait. This agreement is expected to boost industrial cooperation between the two nations.

In oil and gas cooperation, Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei from the UAE partnered with Tariq Suleiman Al-Roumi from Kuwait to sign an MoU aimed at enhancing collaboration in this vital sector.

Legal Cooperation and Human Trafficking

An MoU focusing on combating human trafficking was signed by Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi from the UAE and Nasser Yousef Al-Sumait from Kuwait. They also agreed on legal cooperation between their respective justice ministries.

Furthermore, an agreement on electricity, water, and future energy was established between Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei from the UAE and Dr. Subaih Al-Mukhaizeem from Kuwait.

Investment Promotion Initiatives

A significant MoU promoting direct investment was signed by Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi from the UAE and Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah from KDIPA in Kuwait. This aims to encourage investment flows between both countries.

Additionally, a contract for missile boats procurement was finalized between Kuwait's Ministry of Defence and the UAE’s EDGE Group for several "Falaj 3" class missile boats.

An earlier agreement included the "Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Partnership," which now welcomes the Kuwait Investment Authority as a partner alongside MGX, BlackRock, Global Infrastructure Partners, and Microsoft.
