UAE Kosovo Relations Strengthen As Presidents Discuss Economic And Development Ties

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met Her Excellency Dr Vjosa Osmani Sadriu, President of the Republic of Kosovo, at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi. The leaders discussed ways to deepen economic, trade, investment and development cooperation that supports both countries’ interests and benefits their peoples.

The talks also covered wider government cooperation, including modernising public institutions and improving services. Both sides examined how shared projects could back long-term development goals. They agreed that stronger bilateral coordination would help address current global challenges and support sustainable growth in the UAE, Kosovo and the wider Balkans.

Both parties confirmed a joint commitment to reinforce economic, trade and investment links between the UAE and Kosovo. They looked at new opportunities in development-related sectors that could create jobs and support diversification. The focus was on practical partnerships that align national priorities while also supporting regional stability and economic resilience across the Balkans.

Her Excellency Dr Vjosa Osmani Sadriu visited the UAE to attend the World Governments Summit 2026. During the meeting, both sides discussed the summit’s role in promoting dialogue on issues shaping current and future global development. They reviewed how joint participation could enhance knowledge exchange on policy, innovation and institutional reform.

His Highness welcomed Her Excellency to the UAE and congratulated her on Kosovo’s Independence Day on 17 February, wishing continued progress and prosperity for Kosovo and its people. Her Excellency expressed appreciation for the UAE’s support for Kosovo and its development and humanitarian initiatives, which have helped advance social development and empowerment, and emphasised readiness to further expand bilateral relations in service of common interests.

The meeting was also attended by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, alongside several ministers and senior state officials. Their presence reflected institutional backing for closer UAE-Kosovo engagement. Together, the discussions outlined a framework for future collaboration across economic, developmental and governmental fields, aligned with shared interests and regional stability goals.
