UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed And King Abdullah II Of Jordan Discuss Fraternal Ties And Cooperation

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan engaged in discussions to strengthen the fraternal ties between their nations. The meeting, held at Qasr Al Bateen in Abu Dhabi, aimed to enhance cooperation across various sectors for mutual benefit. Both leaders emphasised the importance of expanding collaboration to meet the aspirations of their peoples.

The talks also addressed regional issues, particularly efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza and ensure humanitarian aid delivery. They rejected any attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians from their land. The leaders highlighted the need for intensified efforts to promote regional stability and prevent further conflict escalation.

His Highness and His Majesty reiterated their dedication to ongoing consultation and coordination on shared concerns. Following the meeting, President Sheikh Mohamed hosted an iftar banquet in honour of King Abdullah and his delegation. This gesture further solidified the warm relations between the UAE and Jordan, reflecting their shared cultural values and traditions.

The meeting was attended by several prominent UAE figures, including Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Other attendees included ministers and senior officials from both countries, highlighting the importance of this diplomatic engagement.

King Abdullah's delegation comprised Dr Jafar Hassan, Prime Minister; Ayman Al Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; along with other senior Jordanian officials. Their presence underscored the significance of strengthening bilateral ties through high-level dialogue.

Departure from UAE

Concluding his visit, King Abdullah departed from Al Bateen Airport. He was seen off by President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, accompanied by several Sheikhs and senior officials. This farewell marked the end of a successful visit aimed at reinforcing the enduring friendship between the two nations.
