UAE and Jordan Begin Consular Consultations

AlShamsi highlighted the strong ties between the UAE and Jordan, rooted in mutual understanding and shared values established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and King Hussein bin Talal. These relations continue to thrive under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein.

This initial round of consultations marks a crucial step in formalising consular cooperation. It aims to strengthen joint action mechanisms, ensuring responsiveness to citizens' needs while facilitating best practice exchanges to improve service delivery.

The Jordanian delegation toured the Ministry’s Operations Center during their visit. They reviewed the UAE’s emergency preparedness protocols, crisis response mechanisms, and coordination frameworks. This visit demonstrated the Ministry’s high institutional readiness and commitment to international standards in managing emergencies.

Ambassador Al-Qatarneh praised the UAE for its high-quality consular services and support for Jordanian citizens. He reiterated Jordan's dedication to advancing joint cooperation and stressed the importance of ongoing engagement and knowledge exchange in consular matters.

The discussions underscored a shared commitment to enhancing bilateral relations through strategic partnerships. Both nations aim to build on this foundation by fostering collaboration across various domains, ensuring mutual benefits for their citizens.
