UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed And Jordan's King Abdullah II Discuss Bilateral Relations And Regional Stability
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, recently welcomed His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan to Abu Dhabi. Their discussions centred on strengthening their fraternal ties and cooperation, particularly in developmental areas. The meeting aimed at enhancing the comprehensive economic partnership between the two nations.
During this visit, both leaders reviewed several regional and international issues. They focused on developments in the Middle East, especially concerning Gaza and Lebanon. They emphasised the importance of intensifying efforts to secure a ceasefire in these regions, ensuring civilian protection under international humanitarian law, and providing humanitarian aid to those affected.

The leaders highlighted the need to prevent further escalation of conflicts in the Middle East. Such escalation poses a threat to regional security and stability. They stressed establishing a clear path towards a just and lasting peace based on a two-state solution that ensures security for all.
Both sides reiterated their unwavering support for Lebanon's unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. They expressed solidarity with the Lebanese people during these challenging times. The UAE and Jordan remain committed to supporting Lebanon's stability.
The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining ongoing consultations on shared interests. This is crucial given the current challenges facing the region. Their mutual dedication underscores the importance of collaboration in addressing these issues effectively.
Earlier that day, King Abdullah II arrived in the UAE, where he was warmly received at Al Bateen Airport by President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Several key figures accompanied him during his visit, including Prime Minister Dr Jaafar Hassan and Deputy Prime Minister Ayman Safadi.
Among those welcoming King Abdullah II were Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan; Humaid Obaid Abu Shabas; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak; and other senior officials.
The meeting underscored both nations' commitment to fostering strong bilateral relations. It highlighted their shared vision for regional peace and stability through dialogue and cooperation. This visit further solidified their partnership in addressing common challenges.
