UAE-Japan Women’s Forum Empowers Leaders

Fatema Al Nuaimi, CEO of ADNOC Gas, emphasised the significance of nurturing women at all career stages. She stated that ADNOC's partnership with Japan and new initiatives like mentorship programs are crucial. These efforts equip women with skills and technology to lead in the energy sector.

Haruhiko Ando, CEO of the Japan Cooperation Centre for Petroleum and Sustainable Energy (JCCP), expressed his admiration for Al Ain's heritage and ambition. He noted that FCW exemplifies how deliberate actions can foster real change, especially in women's leadership within the energy industry.

The forum underscored diversity and inclusion while promoting cross-sector collaboration to tackle energy sector challenges. Dr. Al Shamsi remarked on the committee's role in empowering future-ready leaders through skill enhancement, networking, and mentorship opportunities.

Ken Okaniwa, Ambassador of Japan to the UAE, attended alongside other notable figures such as Yaser Saeed Al Mazrouei from ADNOC and Ali Khalifa Al Shamsi from Emarat. Their presence highlighted the ongoing commitment to strengthening ties between both nations.

Cultural Exchange and Heritage Appreciation

This year's forum returned to its roots in Al Ain, where it was first established. The Japanese delegation explored Emirati culture by visiting sites like Qasr Al Muwaiji and Liwa City. These visits deepened their understanding of traditions that shaped FCW's initial vision.

Over 4,500 women from the UAE, Japan, and GCC countries have benefited from FCW's initiatives over the past decade. The committee has played a pivotal role in empowering women throughout their journey in energy transformation.

The forum celebrated a decade of achievements while looking forward to continued progress in women's empowerment across sectors. It remains committed to fostering sustainable communities through leadership development and international collaboration.
