A pivotal moment in their discussions was the reflection on the economic cooperation agreement signed last March between the UAE and Hungary. Both diplomats emphasized the importance of this agreement as a foundation for enhancing economic ties and fostering stronger partnerships between their private sectors.

Sheikh Abdullah reiterated the UAE's view of Hungary as a vital partner, expressing his aspirations for Hungary's continued progress and prosperity. The meeting also provided an opportunity for both ministers to exchange views on pressing regional issues, including the situation in the Middle East and the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. They stressed the necessity of a sustainable ceasefire and the importance of concerted regional and international efforts to ensure the safety and security of civilians.

Furthermore, Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the critical need for delivering humanitarian aid to those affected in a safe, sustainable, and unhindered manner. He called for increased humanitarian support for the Palestinian people, underlining the urgency of these efforts.

The visit was marked by a gesture of goodwill from Minister Péter Szijjártó, who hosted an Iftar banquet in honour of Sheikh Abdullah and his delegation. The meeting was also attended by notable figures including Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs, and Saud Hamad Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to Hungary.

This diplomatic encounter between the UAE and Hungary not only reaffirms their strong bilateral ties but also highlights their mutual dedication to exploring new avenues for cooperation. It sets a positive tone for future interactions between the two countries as they seek to enhance their partnership across various fields.
