The session was graced by the presence of H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination.

His Excellency Dr. Hamdan Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Board of the Emirates Red Crescent, initiated the discussion by highlighting the humanitarian ethos instilled by the UAE’s Founding Father. He emphasized that the spirit of sharing is deeply rooted in Arab culture, with a particular focus on upholding human dignity. Dr. Al Mazrouei also shed light on the AED 20 billion Zayed Humanitarian Legacy Initiative, a testament to the UAE's ongoing commitment to global humanitarian projects.

Further contributions came from His Excellency Ali Al Mutawa, Secretary General of the Endowment and Minors' Trust Foundation, who underscored the significance of endowments in fueling the UAE's humanitarian activities. He pointed out how contributions from various segments of society, including citizens, residents, and both Muslims and non-Muslims, play a crucial role in this regard.

Her Excellency Hessa Tahlak, Assistant Undersecretary for the Social Development Sector at the Ministry of Community Development, discussed the UAE's pioneering role in volunteering. She highlighted how volunteering is an integral part of UAE society, supported by robust systems, establishments, and legislation that have evolved alongside the nation's humanitarian efforts.

The panelists also explored how Emirati volunteers worldwide serve as ambassadors of the UAE's enduring values of care and compassion. Dr. Al Mazrouei provided insights into a study demonstrating that volunteering activities can enhance participants' immune systems and expedite recovery times.

Looking towards the future, discussions touched upon innovative endowment ideas and recognized the growing importance of private sector involvement in humanitarian work. The lecture was moderated by renowned TV presenter Faisal bin Hariz and featured pre-recorded contributions from notable figures in the UAE's humanitarian sector.
