UAE Recognised As Guest Of Honour At 7th FDC Summit In Cairo For Cybersecurity Leadership
The seventh FDC Summit, themed "The Arch of Digital," has named the UAE as the Guest of Honour. The event, held at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre until 30th April, includes participation from the UAE Cybersecurity Council and top Emirati firms. Over 100 experts and decision-makers from around the world are attending.
A prominent delegation from the UAE Cybersecurity Council, led by Chairman Dr. Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, is actively participating in the summit. They are joined by representatives from leading technology and cybersecurity companies in the UAE. This highlights the UAE's significant role in regional and global cybersecurity and digital transformation efforts.

Dr. Al Kuwaiti emphasised the Council’s dedication to boosting international cooperation in information security and cybersecurity. He highlighted the importance of sharing expertise and creating innovative solutions. According to him, "The FDC Regional Summit for the Digital Industry stands as a prominent example of the Council’s efforts to foster cooperation with regional and international partners in the field of cybersecurity."
Eng. Tarek Shebika, Chairman of the Organising Committee of the FDC Summit, stated that selecting the UAE as Guest of Honour reflects strong strategic ties between Egypt and the UAE. He noted that this choice also underscores the UAE’s leadership in cybersecurity and digital innovation.
Shebika expressed pride in welcoming both the UAE Cybersecurity Council and leading Emirati companies to the summit. He believes their presence will facilitate greater collaboration between Egyptian and Emirati businesses, enhancing knowledge exchange and opening new avenues for joint technology initiatives.
During this summit, several new strategic partnerships between Egyptian and Emirati companies specialising in IT and cybersecurity will be announced. These agreements aim to strengthen regional integration while building a secure digital ecosystem.
Focus on Digital Transformation
The FDC Summit will host over 40 specialised sessions featuring 100 speakers from various regions. Key topics include digital transformation, data centres, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, smart cities, Fourth Industrial Revolution concepts, digital economy strategies, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The participation of Emirati entities underscores their commitment to advancing digital infrastructure across the Middle East. The summit provides an opportunity for dialogue on critical issues related to cybersecurity and information security with regional counterparts.
