UAE Demonstrates Global Leadership In Innovation And Future Government Work Models Through FEEL FOCUS Programme

The UAE Government recently showcased its innovative journey in future foresight to senior international leaders. This initiative, part of the FEEL FOCUS for Government Futures Leadership Programme, was organised by the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs' Government Experience Exchange Office alongside the Dubai Future Academy. The programme aims to empower global leaders with insights into innovation and future foresight, transforming government work models.

Participants included 28 top officials from 18 countries such as Serbia, Romania, and Ethiopia. These leaders engaged in expert sessions, knowledge visits, and dialogues with decision-makers. The programme also featured practical training in scenario planning, innovation strategy, and digital leadership. These activities are designed to equip leaders with skills necessary for future government challenges.

The programme's themes covered future foresight through leadership sessions and case studies. It explored emerging areas like artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and advanced materials. Participants also visited key sites like the Museum of the Future and Dubai Future Labs to gain immersive knowledge. These visits provided firsthand insights into cutting-edge innovations shaping the future.

A key aspect of the programme was networking among ministers, policymakers, and experts through roundtables and interactive discussions. This facilitated dialogue on pioneering innovations' role in shaping governments' futures. Such interactions are crucial for exchanging ideas and fostering collaborative approaches to global challenges.

Abdulla Nasser Lootah highlighted that innovation is central to UAE's experience exchange initiatives. He stated that future foresight enables societies to adapt to rapid changes effectively. Lootah emphasised that the programme builds capacities in scenario design and innovative problem-solving among partner nations' government leaders.

Khalfan Belhoul noted that UAE is a leader in preparing for the future due to visionary leadership support. He remarked on DFF's commitment to collaborating with various sectors globally to identify promising opportunities. Belhoul added that leveraging modern technologies ensures sustainable progress based on innovation pillars.

The FEEL FOCUS programme included a special five-day event by "FEEL: A Disruptive Futures Program" from Dubai Future Academy. Participants learned about UAE's best practices in innovation and foresight during this event. They developed skills for future readiness while fostering a culture of forward-thinking among global leaders.

This initiative underscores UAE's dedication to sharing expertise worldwide for a better future. By equipping leaders with essential skills and knowledge, it prepares them for evolving challenges in governance.
