UAE Food Security Strategy Drives Grandiose Expansion To 47 Outlets Nationwide

Grandiose is linking its national expansion in the UAE to government priorities on food and food security, according to Chief Executive Officer Mussaab Aboud, who said the retailer’s network has grown to 47 outlets across several emirates under a strategy built around stable, long-term planning.

Aboud highlighted that participation in Gulfood 2026 in Dubai forms a key part of Grandiose’s approach, as the exhibition helps the company connect with international producers, explore new categories and sourcing options, and review technologies that can support regional growth and sharpen supply chain management.

UAE food security fuels Grandiose expansion

The CEO explained to the Emirates News Agency that national strategies for food and food security act as the main enabler for Grandiose, providing a framework that supports expansion plans and helping the business shape a clear operating vision aligned with wider UAE objectives for stable and resilient food supplies.

Aboud said that flexible public policies, targeted investment programmes, and government interest in sustainable, innovative supply chains have allowed Grandiose to build an operating model that scales with demand, keeps costs under control, and adapts to changing consumer expectations across the UAE retail market.

On Grandiose’s business strategy, Aboud noted that the company seeks full alignment with the UAE’s food security vision by diversifying sourcing, backing local producers where possible, and putting capital into advanced operating systems that help maintain product availability while meeting strict standards for food quality, safety controls, and traceability.

Looking ahead, Aboud outlined future plans that centre on steady expansion within the UAE, developing a more technology-driven and convenient shopping journey, and increasing Grandiose’s presence in vital residential and commercial communities so that customers receive a more integrated retail experience focused on needs and service consistency.
