UAE Floating Hospital Delivers Vital Medical Aid To Palestinians In Gaza
The UAE has extended its humanitarian efforts through Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, providing advanced medical services to Palestinians. A floating hospital in Al Arish has been set up to perform complex surgeries and offer essential care.
The UAE Floating Hospital began its operations on 24th February 2024, offering medical services to Palestinians. An Emirati medical team from various specialities oversees the hospital, which has performed 1,263 diverse surgeries and provided necessary postoperative care.

The Prosthetics Centre at the UAE Floating Hospital is actively fitting artificial limbs for those who lost their limbs during the Gaza conflict. Measurements have been taken for seven patients, with plans underway for 25 more cases. Concurrently, these patients are receiving physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
One notable success involved a complex surgery on Suha, a 35-year-old patient. The medical team replaced her right hip joint with a full artificial joint. After two months of follow-up and treatment, she has returned to her normal life.
This type of surgery posed significant challenges due to the complexity typically handled by major specialised hospitals. However, the expertise of the medical team and the availability of necessary equipment ensured a successful outcome.
The Prosthetics Centre is equipped with state-of-the-art devices for orthopaedic treatment and prosthetics. These efforts aim to support those injured in the Gaza Strip under dire circumstances.
These dedicated Emirati humanitarian efforts by the UAE aim to alleviate the suffering of the wounded and injured under the dire circumstances faced by the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
