UAE Continues Humanitarian Aid With Arrival Of Palestinian Children And Cancer Patients

The United Arab Emirates has once again demonstrated its commitment to humanitarian aid by welcoming the 13th group of wounded Palestinian children and cancer patients, as part of its initiative to provide medical treatment to 2,000 individuals from the Gaza Strip. This latest arrival includes 58 family members, increasing the total number of beneficiaries to 1,154. This effort is a testament to the UAE's dedication to supporting the Palestinian people amidst the ongoing challenges in Gaza.

Dr. Maha Tayseer Barakat, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Medical Affairs and Life Sciences, highlighted the UAE's efforts in alleviating the hardships faced by Palestinians in Gaza. The establishment of a field hospital in Gaza, a floating hospital in Al Arish, and the provision of ambulances, equipment, medicines, and medical supplies underscore the comprehensive approach taken by the UAE. Dr. Barakat also commended the medical teams and volunteers for their dedication and acknowledged the support from Egyptian authorities in facilitating these humanitarian efforts.

UAE Aids Palestinian Patients

Upon their arrival, patients requiring urgent care were immediately transferred to hospitals for treatment. Others, along with their companions, were accommodated at the Emirates Humanitarian City. Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi, reaffirmed the UAE's readiness to treat these cases, reflecting the nation's values of giving, tolerance, and charity.

Mubarak Al Qahtani, official spokesperson for the Emirates Humanitarian City, detailed how the city has been equipped to provide not only medical care but also education, entertainment, and social interaction opportunities for those not requiring hospitalization. This initiative is part of a broader effort by the UAE to offer urgent humanitarian aid to Gaza, aiming to reduce civilian suffering and mitigate the conflict's adverse effects.

The UAE's initiative stands as a significant contribution towards supporting those affected by the situation in Gaza.
