UAE Sends 9th Humanitarian Flight To Lebanon With 37 Tonnes Of Provisions For Women And Children

The United Arab Emirates has sent an aircraft loaded with 37 tonnes of supplies for children and women to aid Lebanon. This effort is part of the 'UAE Stands with Lebanon' initiative. The flight is the ninth in a series of humanitarian missions to Lebanon, following directives from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, emphasised the UAE's dedication to aiding Lebanon. She stated that this assistance aligns with the UAE's commitment to global peace and stability. "The aid reflects the UAE’s unwavering and continuous support to the Lebanese people," she said.

UAE's 9th Aid Flight Supports Lebanon's Needs

The campaign has delivered a total of 375 tonnes of aid, including food, medical supplies, and shelter materials, since its inception. This initiative underscores the UAE's solidarity with Lebanon amid ongoing humanitarian challenges. The UAE aims to support early recovery for communities affected by crises.

On 30th September, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan announced US$100 million in humanitarian relief for Lebanon. Additionally, $30 million was allocated for urgent aid to displaced Lebanese citizens in Syria. These efforts highlight the UAE's commitment to addressing urgent needs.

The humanitarian mission operates under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Their leadership ensures that aid reaches those most in need during these challenging times.

This initiative is part of a broader vision by the UAE's leadership to provide swift responses to humanitarian crises worldwide. The focus remains on supporting vulnerable populations and fostering global stability through timely interventions.
