UAE Set To Highlight Its Aerospace And Defence Innovations In Egypt Airshow 2024

The UAE National Pavilion will participate in the first Egypt International Airshow in Al Almain city from 3rd to 5th September. This event will feature a dedicated exhibition space to showcase the UAE’s defence capabilities and technological innovations.

Held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt, the airshow aims to accelerate manufacturing, digitalisation, and globalisation within the aerospace sectors of the Middle East and Africa. It serves as a premier platform for space agencies and satellite operators to discuss advancements in space exploration, satellite communications, and civil and military applications of space technology.

Supported by the Ministry of Defence and Tawazun Council, and organised by Emirates Defence Companies Council (EDCC), the National Pavilion will feature advanced defence technologies from leading UAE-based companies such as EDGE group, Calidus Aerospace, Sanad, Remah International Group, and AAL Group. Additionally, Al Jundi and Capital Events will participate extensively.

The pavilion's participation is part of a broader international presence with 300 companies from 100 countries taking part. This reflects the capabilities of national companies in developing advanced defence solutions, highlighting their ability to compete globally. The UAE National Pavilion will offer visitors a unique opportunity to explore over 50 made-in-UAE products, reinforcing the country’s position as a regional and global hub for cutting-edge defence and aviation industries.

Mona Ahmed Al Jaber, Chairwoman of EDCC, stated, "The UAE’s participation in this prestigious event emphasises its keen interest in fostering fraternal relations with Egypt and strengthening regional cooperation in the defence sector." She added that they are eager to facilitate technology transfer and knowledge sharing within the defence industry.

Al Jaber further mentioned that by participating in this event, they aim to demonstrate advanced technologies developed by national companies and explore opportunities for mutually beneficial collaboration with Egyptian and global partners. She expressed confidence that this exhibition would highlight their achievements in the defence industry and build fruitful partnerships with various players in these fields.

Showcasing Innovations

The Egypt International Airshow will provide an ideal platform for showcasing various aircraft models (civil, defence, unmanned) in an open-air display area. Professional air shows presented by world-class aerobatic teams will also be featured.

This exhibition aims to highlight achievements in air defence systems while promoting opportunities for collaboration between regional players. The extensive participation underscores the importance placed on innovation within aerospace sectors across Middle East and Africa.
