In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) reaffirmed the UAE's firm stance on safeguarding Islamic and Christian holy sites. It stressed halting serious violations at Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Ministry highlighted respecting Jordan's custodial role over these sites, as per international law and historical agreements, without undermining the Jerusalem Endowment Administration's authority.

The Ministry emphasised that all practices violating international resolutions should be rejected to prevent further escalation.

The Ministry expressed full support for Jordan's measures to protect holy sites. It held Israeli authorities accountable for preventing further escalation and called for efforts to maintain regional stability. It emphasised not compromising Jordan's custodial role or the authority of the Jerusalem Endowment Administration managing Al-Aqsa Mosque and surrounding areas. This respect is crucial for maintaining peace and stability in the region.
