The UAE is committed to tripling its renewable energy capacity and doubling energy efficiency by 2030, as outlined in the UAE Consensus forged at COP28. Dr. Al Dahak urged nations to enhance their commitments, prioritise project flexibility, and incentivise private investment. "The world is watching, and the time for action is now," she stated.

Dr. Al Dahak advocated for a collaborative approach to global energy transition, urging countries to set ambitious renewable targets and create environments conducive to private investment. She highlighted IRENA's platform's role in measuring progress and informing strategic decisions as preparations for COP30 in Belém continue.

Beyond formal sessions, Dr. Al Dahak participated in an IRENA Youth Fireside Chat. She emphasised youth's crucial role in climate solutions and encouraged them to seize opportunities in renewable energy sectors. Drawing from her career experiences, she advised young leaders to be decisive, build partnerships, and maintain a clear vision.

The UAE remains focused on driving global energy transition through proactive diplomacy and renewable investments. The nation's emphasis on innovation, strategic partnerships, and impactful solutions aligns with its commitment to building a sustainable future for all.

The minister reiterated that achieving these goals requires strengthening commitments globally while fostering environments that attract private sector involvement. This approach aims at creating a cleaner, greener future through enhanced cooperation among nations.
