UAE Secures Best International Pavilion Award At Morocco Date Fair For Fourteenth Consecutive Year

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has secured the "Best International Pavilion" award at the 14th International Date Fair in Erfoud, Morocco. This marks the UAE's 14th consecutive victory at this event. The accolade underscores the nation's leadership in advancing the date palm sector and promoting agricultural innovation, reflecting its dedication to sustainable farming and food security.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Chairman of the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, dedicated this achievement to His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Sheikh Mansour is the Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court. Sheikh Nahyan expressed gratitude for Sheikh Mansour's support for the date palm sector and his vision of the palm tree as a symbol of generosity and sustainability.

Sheikh Nahyan also acknowledged H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his ongoing guidance. Sheikh Theyab serves as Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Erth Zayed Philanthropies. According to Sheikh Nahyan, this recognition reflects UAE leadership’s commitment to initiatives that enhance global food security through sustainable agricultural practices.

Dr. Abdul Wahab Zayed, Secretary-General of the Khalifa Award, highlighted that the UAE pavilion combined agricultural heritage with modern technology. It showcased smart irrigation systems, water management innovations, and advancements across the agricultural value chain. The pavilion also served as a hub for scientific exchange, training workshops, and product demonstrations.

The pavilion featured premium Emirati date varieties that captivated visitors. Dr. Zayed noted that it fostered new international partnerships in smart and sustainable agriculture. He emphasized that significant visitor turnout at the pavilion underscored UAE’s leading role in advancing the global date industry by merging authenticity with innovation in palm cultivation and date production.
