UAE Armed Forces Unification Day: Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Zayed Highlights Military Achievements And Legacy

H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser, highlighted the UAE's historic decision to unify its Armed Forces 49 years ago. This strategic move was based on the Founding Leaders' belief that true national security requires a unified and capable military. The UAE's development is closely tied to this vision of security.

The foresight of the UAE's Founding Fathers laid the groundwork for today's comprehensive development, safeguarded by a professional army. "Their visionary foresight laid the foundation for the comprehensive development we witness today, protected and defended by a professional army whose competence has been acknowledged by leading military figures worldwide," stated H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon.

The UAE Armed Forces have made significant strides in human resources, weaponry, and field efficiency, attracting global attention. H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon noted that rapid advancements in military capabilities have been achieved through modern technology and artificial intelligence. These improvements have enhanced the UAE's defense and military industries.

H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon emphasized that the status and reputation of the UAE Armed Forces result from continuous strategic planning and efforts under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's guidance. "His Highness the President has devoted great attention to the development and modernisation of our Armed Forces," he said.

Under President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's leadership, the UAE military enjoys advanced armament, training, and empowerment capabilities. This has earned international respect and trust, with a notable presence in peacekeeping forces worldwide.

The UAE has also focused on enhancing its defense industries and investing in this sector.
