UAE Armed Forces Celebrated As Nation's Protector And Unity Symbol By Saif Bin Zayed

On the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the unification of the UAE Armed Forces, H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, delivered a poignant speech underscoring the pivotal role of the armed forces in maintaining national security and fostering unity. His Highness lauded the forces for their dedication to protecting the nation and upholding values of sacrifice, redemption, and loyalty.

During his address, Sheikh Saif bin Zayed extended heartfelt congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President and Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. He also acknowledged the Supreme Council Members, Their Highnesses Rulers of the Emirates, Crown Princes, Deputy Rulers, and the citizens of the UAE.

Reflecting on the historic unification of the armed forces in 1976, initiated by the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his fellow founders, Sheikh Saif highlighted its significant contribution to national unity, development, and international stature. He praised the visionary leadership that has guided the UAE to its current era of prosperity under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

In his tribute to the armed forces, His Highness stated: "On this auspicious occasion, we extend our deepest appreciation and gratitude to the officers and men of our valiant armed forces... We also extend our deepest gratitude and respect to the mothers and families of our fallen martyrs..." He emphasized that their sacrifices serve as a beacon for current and future generations.

His Highness further remarked on the UAE's commitment to enhancing its armed forces with modern technologies and skilled human resources. This initiative aims to bolster the country's influential role on both regional and international stages. "This is our pledge to our beloved nation and to our wise leadership," he affirmed, highlighting the armed forces as a symbol of national unity and a steadfast defender of the UAE's founding values.
