UAE's Sixth Aid Ship Arrives At Al Arish Port To Deliver Humanitarian Relief For Gaza
The sixth UAE aid ship has docked at Egypt's Al Arish Port, bringing humanitarian assistance from H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak. This support is intended for Gaza to help those in need. The ship's arrival is part of a broader effort to provide relief amid ongoing challenges.
Upon arrival, the ship was welcomed by a delegation that included Dr. Maitha bint Salem Al Shamsi, Minister of State; Rashid Mubarak Al Mansouri, Secretary-General of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC); and Major General Dr. Khaled Megawer, Governor of North Sinai. Their presence underscores the importance of this mission.
This shipment is part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, which aims to address urgent needs in Gaza. The operation has been expanded under directives from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to ensure continuous support for Palestinians during these challenging times.
The aid ship left Dubai's Al Hamriyah Port on 20th January, carrying 5,800 tonnes of essential supplies such as food, shelter materials, and medical items. This shipment is the largest sent under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 and arrives just before Ramadan to provide timely assistance.
The humanitarian mission has been made possible through contributions from several organisations. These include the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, the Dar Al Ber Society, and Sharjah Charity International.
During their visit, Dr. Al Shamsi and her delegation also toured the UAE Floating Hospital in Al Arish. This facility offers medical care to Palestinians from Gaza as part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3. They explored various departments and assessed patient care services.
Ensuring Timely Aid Delivery
The ship's timely arrival ensures that emergency relief reaches Gaza amidst an ongoing humanitarian crisis. The aid includes vital resources necessary for sustaining life and providing comfort during difficult times.
This initiative aligns with efforts to intensify support for Palestinians in Gaza by delivering essential supplies swiftly and efficiently. The operation reflects a commitment to addressing immediate needs while fostering long-term resilience in affected communities.
