UAE Aircraft Delivers Urgent Medical Supplies For Lebanese Refugees In Syria
The UAE has sent an aircraft loaded with urgent aid to Lebanese refugees in Syria and Syrians returning home. This delivery is part of the ongoing 'UAE Stands with Lebanon' campaign, which aims to provide essential medical supplies. Since 4th October, 14 aircraft have been dispatched by the UAE; 12 to Lebanon and two to Syria.
The UAE's humanitarian efforts are guided by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, along with H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, also play pivotal roles in these initiatives.

Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development Affairs and International Organisations, highlighted the UAE's dedication to aiding Lebanon. He stressed the nation's commitment to humanitarian values, reflecting its diverse society's solidarity and cooperation in helping those in need.
Al Shamsi further noted that the UAE plans to send an additional 40 tonnes of food supplies. These will be directed towards Lebanese refugees in Syria and Syrians returning home. The Emirates Red Crescent is coordinating these efforts through the UAE Aid Coordination Office in Syria.
The International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council oversees the distribution of relief aid. This is done in collaboration with humanitarian institutions, Emirati charity organisations, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They work alongside international organisations to ensure effective aid delivery.
The UAE remains committed to fostering security, stability, and prosperity in regions affected by conflict. By supporting recovery efforts, it aims to help communities rebuild after wars and crises.
Through these extensive humanitarian endeavours, the UAE continues to stand by Lebanon during challenging times. Its actions underscore a commitment to global solidarity and cooperation.
