UAE Hosts 'The Africa Debate' To Strengthen Trade And Investment With Africa

The UAE is set to host the upcoming edition of ‘The Africa Debate,’ organised by the Ministry of Economy in partnership with Invest Africa. Scheduled for October 31, 2024, in Dubai, this event aims to explore and capitalise on emerging economic opportunities within the UAE and the broader Gulf-Africa trade and investment corridor.

The forum will gather global companies, private and public investment bodies, thought leaders, and policymakers. They will engage in discussions to strengthen trade and investment relations between the UAE and Africa for 2024 and beyond. Juma Al Kait, Assistant Undersecretary for International Trade Affairs at the Ministry of Economy, highlighted the significance of this collaboration. He stated, "The UAE has long recognised the strategic importance of Africa as a key trade and investment partner. By collaborating with Invest Africa, we aim to deepen our engagement with African markets and explore new avenues for economic cooperation. ‘The Africa Debate’ has already established itself as a premier platform for promoting Africa-forward initiatives and investment. We look forward to welcoming 300+ vetted industry leaders to advance UAE-Africa partnerships and drive mutual growth."
