UAE Dispatches Its 18th Aircraft Carrying 40 Tonnes Of Medical Supplies To Support Lebanon
The UAE has sent its 18th plane to Lebanon, carrying 40 tonnes of medical supplies. This is part of the "UAE stands with Lebanon" initiative. The campaign began in early October to quickly deliver essential food, medical, and shelter supplies to help Lebanon recover from ongoing conflict hardships.
Under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, and with oversight from His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, this aid effort is being closely monitored. H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also supervises these efforts as Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs.
The UAE's humanitarian institutions are working alongside international agencies like WHO, UNHCR, and IFRC to ensure effective aid delivery. This collaboration aims to provide timely assistance to those affected by the crisis in Lebanon. The coordinated efforts highlight the UAE's commitment to global humanitarian support.
Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development Affairs and International Organisations, reiterated the UAE's unwavering support for Lebanon. He stated that the UAE leadership, government, and people are dedicated to helping Lebanon achieve security and stability by providing essential materials like medicines during these challenging times.
Since its founding by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE has consistently offered assistance during critical periods. The nation remains a leader in supporting those affected by wars, conflicts, disasters, and crises worldwide. This enduring commitment reflects the UAE's dedication to humanitarian causes.
Al Shamsi emphasised that under Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's directives, the UAE will continue its relief efforts for Lebanese people both within Lebanon and among refugees in Syria. The focus is on delivering essential supplies and meeting basic needs for all affected individuals.
