TRENDS Research & Advisory Concludes Successful Participation In AIABF 2025 In Dearborn

TRENDS Research & Advisory recently concluded its participation in the America International Arabic Book Fair and Cultural Forum 2025 in Dearborn, Michigan. The centre was honoured with the Best Pavilion Award for showcasing a diverse range of publications and hosting numerous activities. The pavilion drew significant interest from academics and researchers, highlighting TRENDS' focus on political Islam, interfaith relations, and combating Islamophobia.

During the event, TRENDS engaged in several productive meetings with Indiana University's Department of Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures. These discussions explored potential collaborations in research, training, and development. They also delved into advancements in AI applications within academic fields. This initiative aimed to foster future cooperation between the institutions.

TRENDS Shines at AIABF 2025 in Dearborn

The TRENDS pavilion attracted notable visitors such as Dr. Muqtedar Khan from the University of Delaware, Dr. Mohammad Hassan Khalil from Michigan State University, and Dr. Morgan Shipley, also from Michigan State University. These distinguished academics expressed admiration for the intellectual quality of TRENDS’ publications.

Rashid Mohammed Al-Kous, Executive Director of the Emirates Publishers Association, praised TRENDS for its active role at this international cultural event. He commended its contribution to enhancing the UAE’s cultural influence globally.

TRENDS participated in a symposium titled "Countering Islamophobia: Building Bridges Through Dialogue and Understanding" during the book fair. This event took place in Dearborn, Michigan, as part of their broader engagement at AIABF.

Additionally, TRENDS researchers took part in another symposium titled "Intra-Islamic Dialogue: A Reading of the Call of the People of the Qibla." This was held at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center in Dearborn.

Expanding Global Presence

Sultan Al-Rubaei, Head of the TRENDS International Training Institute, highlighted that their debut at AIABF marked a significant step towards expanding their global intellectual presence. He stated that TRENDS aims to offer thoughtful insights that promote intercultural dialogue through such participations.

The AIABF is a major cultural event in North America that attracts research institutions worldwide. It aims to foster knowledge exchange and strengthen cultural connections among nations.
