TRENDS Research And Advisory Showcases Innovations At Indonesia International Book Fair 2024
TRENDS Research and Advisory is taking part in the 44th Indonesia International Book Fair 2024. The event is being held from 25th to 29th September at the Jakarta Convention Centre. TRENDS' pavilion showcases over 300 titles across various knowledge fields, using advanced technologies like AI, holograms, and robots. Aletihad News Centre is collaborating as a media partner.
The book fair's management honoured TRENDS for its significant presence and research contributions. As the primary sponsor, TRENDS has played a crucial role in the event's success. Their involvement highlights their commitment to fostering knowledge exchange and cultural dialogue.

On the first day of the book fair, TRENDS hosted a symposium titled "Building Bridges and Shaping the Future: GCC Relations with Southeast Asian Countries". Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, highlighted the potential of economic cooperation between GCC countries and Southeast Asia. He suggested that establishing a free trade zone could enhance trade and investment, creating job opportunities.
Dr. Al-Ali also mentioned that collaboration in renewable energy could help achieve sustainable development goals and improve energy security in the region. This cooperation could lead to significant advancements in both regions' economic landscapes.
The symposium's first session was led by Mohammed Al-Salmi, Head of the Research Sector at TRENDS. He stressed that building bridges between nations is an investment in future prosperity. This perspective set the tone for discussions on strengthening ties between GCC and Southeast Asian countries.
Dr. Fithra Faisal Hastiadi, Economic Adviser - Senior Economist at PT Samuel Sekuritas Indonesia, opened discussions by focusing on ASEAN-GCC economic cooperation prospects. He noted ASEAN's rapid growth due to its young, educated workforce and strategic location. Potential collaboration areas include infrastructure investment and renewable energy.

Dr. Hamad Al-Kaabi, CEO of Aletihad News Centre and Editor-in-Chief of Aletihad Newspaper, discussed media's role in enhancing Gulf-Southeast Asia relations. He pointed out that these relations have grown significantly recently due to shared interests and mutual growth aspirations.
