TRENDS Research And Advisory Hosts First Annual Forum For 2025 Focused On Youth Empowerment
TRENDS Research and Advisory recently hosted its inaugural Annual Forum for 2025, focusing on "Youth Empowerment." The event aimed to improve the institutional work environment by prioritising quality, sustainability, and excellence. Held at TRENDS' headquarters in Abu Dhabi, the forum reviewed the centre's achievements from the past year and outlined plans for the upcoming year.
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS, remarked on the centre's accomplishments in 2024. He stated, "The year 2024 was filled with achievements and leadership milestones. The centre successfully empowered youth in both research and professional fields, solidifying its position as a global leader through its diverse activities, 17 international offices, effective partnerships, and prominent presence in international forums."

The forum introduced TRENDS' strategic plan for 2025. This plan includes innovative research, training, advisory, and media initiatives aimed at enhancing the centre’s global intellectual influence. Dr. Al-Ali explained that these projects are designed to support objective scientific research while expanding TRENDS' impact worldwide.
In line with this year's theme of "Youth Empowerment," discussions highlighted the significance of innovation in research. The need to empower young professionals was also emphasised as a crucial component of achieving TRENDS' strategic goals.
TRENDS concluded 2024 with notable successes such as winning the UAE Labor Market Award and being recognised as the Best Research Centre at the British Parliament. The centre expanded its reach by opening 17 international offices and establishing 46 new research partnerships.
The organisation published 277 studies across strategic, economic, and Islamic fields. It also organised 226 global events, including six international conferences, and participated in 15 book fairs. Additionally, TRENDS released 12 books from the Muslim Brotherhood Encyclopedia series translated into 15 languages.
Commitment to Excellence
As part of its dedication to fostering a culture of excellence and creativity, TRENDS acknowledged several employees for their exceptional contributions towards achieving its strategic objectives. This recognition underscores the centre's commitment to promoting excellence within its workforce.
The centre launched 49 podcast episodes and achieved a significant youth empowerment rate of 58% among Emirati researchers. Furthermore, it organised 44 training programs aimed at developing UAE talents and shared an impressive total of 7,950 knowledge reports on its TRENDS Knowledge Community platform.
TRENDS’ success in securing prestigious awards for leadership and sustainability has been a motivating factor for continued excellence. Dr. Al-Ali stressed that these accolades inspire the centre to pursue future goals with global efficiency and impact.
