Theyab Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Witnesses ADNOC Sponsorship Agreement For Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026

H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs, attended a significant event where ADNOC was announced as the official Presenting Sponsor for the Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026. This marks the first time the event will be held in the Middle East. The signing ceremony included Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber and Mohammed Al Junaibi.

The sponsorship agreement was formalised by Aref Hamad Al Awani from the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Saif Al Falahi from ADNOC. The event also saw senior officials and local athletes in attendance. A key highlight was unveiling the games' logo, inspired by UAE's natural beauty and promoting healthy living and community values.

Saif Al Falahi highlighted ADNOC's dedication to fostering active lifestyles through this sponsorship. He remarked, "ADNOC is proud to support the Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026 as Presenting Sponsor, reinforcing our commitment to promoting healthier, more active lifestyles and stronger communities." He noted that this event would unite communities during the UAE Year of Community.

The Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026 will occur in February 2026, attracting over 25,000 participants globally. It will feature 33 sports across various disciplines and age groups, including seniors. Traditional Emirati sports like dhow sailing, falconry, and camel racing will also be showcased alongside events for People of Determination.

This event aims to transcend sport by enhancing physical and mental wellbeing while encouraging participation across generations. It is expected to positively influence sectors such as sport, tourism, and economy in a sustainable manner.

The ceremony underscored leadership’s commitment to social cohesion through sport while positioning UAE as a global hub for longevity. The games aim to inspire people of all ages to embrace sport joyfully while celebrating inclusion and heritage.
