Team Abu Dhabi Aims For Success In UIM F2 World Championship Opening Round In Italy

Team Abu Dhabi, representing the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, is gearing up for the 2025 UIM F2 World Championship. The opening round will take place this weekend in Brindisi, Italy. Competing for the team are Rashed Al Qemzi with boat number 1 and Mansoor Al Mansoori with boat number 35.

The championship consists of five rounds under the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM). After Italy, the series will continue in Lithuania, Norway, and Portugal. The final event is planned for later this year in the UAE.

Official qualifying sessions for F2 boats in Brindisi are set for Saturday, 28th June. Q1 starts at 17:00 local time, followed by Q2 at 18:15. The final session, Q3, runs from 18:30 to 18:50 to decide the starting positions for the main race.

On Sunday, 29th June, activities begin with the Repechage Race at 10:00 am. This is followed by a Warm-Up session from 11:00 to 12:00. The F2 Grand Prix of Italy starts at 18:30 and concludes with a prize-giving ceremony at 20:00.

Team Abu Dhabi aims to continue its global dominance after a successful previous season. Rashed Al Qemzi secured the overall championship title last year. Meanwhile, Mansoor Al Mansoori finished third in the final standings.

The team has consistently excelled in international powerboat racing. They have claimed multiple F2 world titles, including last season's victory led by Al Qemzi. As they enter this new season, their goal is to defend their title and add another accolade to their record.
