Tawazun Quality And Conformity Partners With ADQCC To Enhance Standards At IDEX 2025
The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (ADQCC) and Tawazun Quality and Conformity (TQC) have formalised their collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement was signed during IDEX 2025 at the Tawazun Council’s chalet. The MoU aims to enhance cooperation in scientific and technical areas, focusing on knowledge exchange and expertise sharing.
The MoU was signed by Abdullah Ahmed Al Yazeedi, Secretary General of ADQCC, and Dr. Khalid Mohammed Al Kaabi, CEO of TQC. Saeed Al Mheiri, Executive Director of the Emirates Metrology Institute, along with other senior officials from both organisations, witnessed the signing. This partnership is expected to bolster standards in various sectors through shared goals.

Abdullah Ahmed Al Yazeedi highlighted that this collaboration is crucial for improving product and service quality in Abu Dhabi. He stated, "The signing of the MOU with Tawazun Quality and Conformity is a strategic step towards enhancing the quality of products and services offered in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi." The partnership aims to develop standards ensuring safety and efficiency while promoting sustainable development.
Dr. Khalid Mohammed Al Kaabi noted that TQC plays a vital role in testing and certifying products according to local and international standards. He mentioned that this initiative supports the defence industry by working closely with strategic partners. "Through this partnership, we aim to develop advanced technologies through innovative operational programs," he added.
The agreement covers various aspects such as proficiency testing, laboratory comparisons, accreditation, research, training, and organising specialised workshops. These initiatives are designed to improve performance across different sectors by enhancing technical personnel capabilities through expertise exchange.
This collaboration also focuses on developing advanced technologies within the defence manufacturing sector. By establishing a robust infrastructure for qualification testing, it aims to accelerate processes and improve efficiency. This will ultimately boost the UAE's competitiveness in this field.
