Tawazun Industrial Park And Calidus Group Forge Cooperation Agreement To Boost Defence Manufacturing At IDEX 2025

Tawazun Industrial Park (TIP) and Calidus Group have entered into a cooperation agreement to expand Calidus' manufacturing operations. This partnership, formalised during IDEX 2025, aims to boost the defence industry's competitiveness and reinforce TIP's status as a key manufacturing hub in the region. The collaboration focuses on enhancing cooperation, supporting industrial investments, and fostering innovation to drive economic growth.

TIP provides comprehensive infrastructure and specialised services for companies in the defence and security sectors. Through this agreement, TIP will offer one-stop-shop and industrial real estate services for the "Alhada" missile factory and Calidus Group’s advanced manufacturing facilities. These facilities will be established within the Park to ensure operational efficiency and meet global standards.

Dr. Khalifa Murad Al Blooshi, CEO of Calidus Group, highlighted the importance of this partnership in advancing the company's aerospace and defence sector operations. He stated that relying on TIP's "one-stop-shop" services is crucial for expanding their capabilities. He remarked that this collaboration is a significant step in strengthening Calidus’ position in defence and aerospace equipment and systems.

Eng. Fayez Saleh Al Nahdi, CEO of TIP, noted Calidus' pivotal role in developing defence systems, especially in aerospace. He emphasised that this partnership reflects Calidus' trust in TIP's integrated infrastructure and comprehensive services. "We are proud of this collaboration," he said, "which will enable Calidus to expand its operations within Tawazun Industrial Park."

The UAE aims to bolster its position as a leader in advanced industries by supporting innovation in the defence sector. This move aligns with that vision, enhancing the country's competitiveness regionally and globally. Al Nahdi also mentioned that these efforts reflect TIP's commitment to providing an innovative environment supporting national capabilities in defence and security industries.

Tawazun Industrial Park has invested approximately AED200 million in infrastructure, real estate solutions, and industrial facilities to support both current and future projects of Calidus Group. These investments demonstrate the efficiency of services provided by offering an integrated industrial environment that enhances operational efficiency.
