Tawazun Council Highlights Strategic Defence Projects At Make It In The Emirates 2025

Tawazun Council is actively involved in "Make it in the Emirates" 2025, a leading platform in the UAE that promotes industrial investment and enhances local manufacturing. This participation highlights Tawazun's dedication to fostering a robust national defence ecosystem, driven by innovation and the skills of Emirati talent.

The Council's engagement demonstrates its strategic focus on nurturing the UAE's defence industry. This involves building integrated infrastructure for a sustainable industrial base and forming strategic partnerships with private sector stakeholders and international investors.

The Defence and Security Industry Affairs Unit at Tawazun will display several high-impact projects under the Tawazun Economic Programme. This programme is crucial for industrial advancement and integrating local suppliers into the defence sector. Notable projects include the Coast Control Radar, developed with Saab UAE to protect territorial waters, and the "Go to UAE" initiative with Thales Group, which integrates Emirati suppliers into global value chains to enhance export capabilities.

Another significant project is the Radar Factory initiative with Thales Group and Thales Emarat Technologies. This project focuses on producing Ground Master 200 radars locally, complete with antenna assembly, testing, and engineering support. Additionally, Shielders Advanced Industries will produce the R150S, the world's lightest remote weapon station, in Abu Dhabi.

Tawazun Industrial Park (TIP) will also be featured at "MIITE," showcasing its advanced infrastructure and integrated services designed to support companies in the defence and security sectors. Meanwhile, Tawazun's Regulatory Affairs Unit will emphasize its role in developing a strong legislative framework that ensures policy alignment and procedural flexibility for industrial growth.
