TASC Introduces AIQU To Streamline Tech Hiring Process In Saudi Arabia Amid Talent Shortage

Saudi Arabia is undergoing a rapid digital transformation, fueled by its ambitious Vision 2030. This has led to a skyrocketing demand for skilled professionals in technology sectors, particularly in areas like artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning.

However, this growth comes with its own set of challenges, including prolonged hiring processes and the high costs associated with securing the right talent. These hurdles threaten the timely completion of pivotal digital initiatives.

TASC Launches AIQU to Streamline Tech Hiring

To address these issues, AIQU, a subsidiary of workforce solutions provider TASC, has introduced Deploy-on-Demand. This innovative service aims to halve the time it takes to hire tech professionals. By leveraging its extensive experience in tech talent, digital, and managed services, AIQU is offering a more agile solution for meeting the Kingdom's tech workforce needs.

The service ensures rapid deployment of specialized roles, managing all aspects from iqama and payroll to compliance and onboarding, thus significantly reducing the hiring timeframe from the market average.

Tackling the Tech Talent Shortage

Saudi Arabia's tech sector is experiencing a notable talent crunch, particularly in fast-growing fields like cloud computing, AI, and cybersecurity. The demand for roles such as cloud architects, SAP consultants, and data engineers far outstrips the local supply of skilled professionals. This gap is even wider for niche skills like OT/ICS security or data governance. The shortage of local talent for AP consulting roles, for example, reaches up to 40%.

"Many businesses simply cannot afford the three to six-month hiring cycles associated with conventional recruitment or global system integrators," says Tim Harlow, Head of AIQU. This sentiment echoes the frustration many companies face due to the sluggish and inflexible nature of traditional hiring methods, further complicated by the complexities of the Saudi recruitment market.

Deploy-on-Demand: Enhancing Hiring Efficiency

AIQU's Deploy-on-Demand model presents a solution to these challenges by offering fast, flexible, and cost-effective access to pre-verified tech talent. This approach significantly reduces the time to hire by matching project requirements with available professionals on a continuously updated bench of talent. Full onboarding support, including regulatory requirements, ensures a swift transition to productivity.

"Cost, speed, and flexibility are the three pillars every client struggles with. Existing models are too rigid for today's dynamic projects," Taha Esmail, VP - AIQU, points out. This model not only accelerates project timelines, but also offers substantial cost savings, typically ranging from 30% to 50% less than traditional system integrators, by eliminating consulting overheads and offering transparent pricing. Pinky Mistry, VP – AIQU, emphasises the agility this model brings, allowing clients to adjust team sizes as projects evolve without the burden of long-term commitments.

As Vision 2030 projects transition from planning to execution, the demand for specialized tech skills is set to rise even further. In response, AIQU is expanding its pool of Arabic-speaking professionals, partnering with local training academies, and increasing its footprint across the Kingdom. This expansion is aimed at building a robust pipeline of talent capable of supporting the Kingdom's digital ambitions.
