Tadweer Group Launches New Entities To Innovate Waste Management Practices

Tadweer Group has introduced four new subsidiaries: Tadweer Environmental Services and Solutions, Tajmee’e, UpCycle, and Tahweel. These entities aim to innovate in waste management and recycling, aligning with Tadweer Group's goal of converting waste into valuable resources. This strategic initiative supports decarbonisation, promotes a circular economy, and leverages advanced technologies to utilise untapped resources.

Tadweer Environmental Services and Solutions will concentrate on public waste collection activities. This includes contract tendering and performance management through digital solutions. Tajmee’e will contribute by pioneering pre-collection and collection activities while excelling in customer service.

UpCycle will integrate advanced technology with waste treatment and recycling centres. This subsidiary will support operations related to the newly announced greenfield Material Recovery Facility. Tahweel will accelerate waste conversion technology and investment within Tadweer Group’s portfolio, aiding the development of the upcoming waste-to-energy plant and other waste-to-value projects.

Each subsidiary is crucial to Tadweer Group’s strategy by promoting established and emerging technologies. They enhance value creation and support the organisation's goal of diverting 80 percent of waste from landfills by 2030.

Recent Developments

The formation of these subsidiaries follows Tadweer Group’s acquisition of e-waste innovator Enviroserve. Enviroserve is the only integrated e-waste processing hub in the Middle East, Africa, and Caucasus region. Additionally, Tadweer Group recently announced progress on Abu Dhabi’s first dedicated facility for recovering valuable recyclable materials from waste.

This expansion reflects Tadweer Group's ongoing efforts to lead in sustainable waste management practices. The new subsidiaries are expected to drive significant advancements in how waste is managed and recycled across the region.
