Tabreed And Johnson Controls Forge Partnership for Cooling Innovation

In a significant move towards enhancing global district cooling practices, the district cooling company, Tabreed, has joined forces with Johnson Controls.

This collaboration is set to fast-track the creation and implementation of cutting-edge cooling solutions.

Through this partnership, both entities aim to introduce advanced centrifugal chillers, marked by their high efficiency and minimal environmental footprint.

These chillers will be integrated with Johnson Controls' analytical platforms, enabling real-time system optimization and downtime minimization.

During a ceremony at Tabreed's headquarters in Abu Dhabi, the framework agreement was officially signed by Khalid Al Marzooqi, Tabreed's CEO, and Richard Lek, Vice President and President EMEA of Johnson Controls.

Following the event, Al Marzooqi highlighted the significance of this partnership, stating, "Our company has entered a new, exciting chapter of unprecedented growth, which is aligned with our long-term strategy. We have multiple projects either in progress or planned for the near future, and this agreement helps both parties by securing supplies of essential equipment for large-scale infrastructure. Richard Lek further emphasized the potential of this collaboration, remarking, "This collaboration with Tabreed allows us to demonstrate how proven technologies and data-driven services can raise the performance bar for district cooling – at scale. Together we'll help better meet the demand for cooling in rapidly growing urbanisations while reducing energy consumption and emissions and improving quality of life."

The partnership is grounded in two fundamental components: the provision of state-of-the-art chiller technology and comprehensive lifecycle services by Johnson Controls.

These services range from design support to performance monitoring, aiming to enhance the efficiency and longevity of Tabreed's cooling plants while minimizing maintenance and ownership costs.
