Switzerland Recognised As Guest Of Honour For DIHAD 2025 Humanitarian Conference
Switzerland has been designated as the Guest of Honour for the Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development Conference and Exhibition (DIHAD) 2025. This recognition highlights Switzerland's ongoing contributions to global humanitarian efforts. The announcement was made during a high-level meeting hosted by Arthur Mattli, the Swiss Ambassador to the UAE and Bahrain, at the Swiss Residence on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi.
The event will focus on "Humanitarian Aid and Development in a Polarised World," addressing complex global crises. Traditional humanitarian strategies are becoming less effective due to rising needs, conflicts, and climate change impacts. The event aims to explore innovative solutions to these challenges.

Ambassador Arthur Mattli emphasised international cooperation's importance, stating, "Humanitarian aid and development is not just giving. In a polarised world, it must rise above division, serving as a bridge that unites humanity and true collaboration." This sentiment underscores the need for unity in addressing global issues.
Dr. Abdulsalam AlMadani, Chairman of DIHAD Sustainable Humanitarian Organisation, highlighted the meeting's role in raising awareness about cooperation between countries and organisations. He noted that DIHAD 2025 will be a key platform for sharing expertise and showcasing solutions that can impact millions worldwide.
Khaled Al-Attar, Director-General of DIHAD Sustainable Humanitarian Organisation, reviewed DIHAD's achievements. The meeting included ambassadors from various countries such as Ireland, Kyrgyzstan, Belgium, Côte d'Ivoire, Austria, Spain, Singapore, Malta, Brazil, Panama, and other diplomatic representatives.
Tariq Al Madani from DIHAD's Board of Trustees stressed the importance of strengthening international partnerships to tackle growing humanitarian crises. He serves as CEO of INDEX Conferences & Exhibitions and INDEX Design.
Upcoming DIHAD 2025 Event
DIHAD 2025 will take place from 29th April to 1st May at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Organised by INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions Org. LLC under INDEX Holding's umbrella, it receives support from notable entities like the United Nations and Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives.
The Swiss Pavilion will feature innovative solutions and initiatives reflecting Switzerland's commitment to advancing humanitarian causes globally. This participation underscores Swiss organisations' significant role in addressing global challenges and supporting vulnerable communities.
