Sustainability Week 2024 Concludes With Participation From 526 Business Community Representatives

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, a key entity under Dubai Chambers, recently wrapped up Sustainability Week 2024. This event saw participation from 526 business community representatives. The initiative included various events focusing on the role of digitisation and artificial intelligence in fostering sustainable business practices.

During the week, the chamber's Centre for Responsible Business launched a digital training platform. This platform aims to equip local businesses with vital knowledge and skills related to sustainability and ESG standards. It offers premium online courses that emphasise using AI and digital solutions to boost sustainability efforts.

Sustainability Week 2024 Attracts 526 Participants

The training courses available on the platform include certified modules, video content, and virtual sessions led by expert trainers. These resources are designed to encourage the adoption of best practices in sustainability within the business community.

A highlight of Sustainability Week was a seminar that examined the impact of AI and digital technologies on sustainability. Discussions covered how these technologies can help achieve sustainable development goals, improve supply chain efficiency, and enhance recycling through innovative methods.

The chamber also organised a forum dedicated to developing digital strategies for the circular economy. This forum featured an interactive simulation and discussions on how AI, IoT, and big data analytics can improve resource efficiency, reduce waste, and support long-term sustainability.

As part of its initiatives during Sustainability Week 2024, the chamber awarded the ESG Label to 27 companies. These companies were recognised for leading in sustainable business practices.

Arabia CSR and Sustainability Forum

The 12th edition of the Arabia CSR and Sustainability Forum was hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce during this week. Organised by the Arabia CSR Network under the Ministry of Economy's patronage, it focused on "Sustainable Prosperity: Reorienting for a Balanced Future."

Sustainability Week 2024 showcased numerous events aimed at promoting sustainable development through technology. By engaging with experts and exploring innovative solutions, participants gained insights into enhancing their sustainability efforts effectively.
