Supreme Committee Discusses Key Preparations For IDEX And NAVDEX 2025 Focusing On Innovation
The Supreme Organising Committee for the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) and Naval Defence Exhibition (NAVDEX) 2025 recently convened to assess preparations for the upcoming event. Major General Staff Pilot Mubarak Saeed Ghafan Al Jabri, Deputy Chairman of the committee, led the meeting. The exhibitions and conference will occur from 17th to 21st February 2025 at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi, under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Organised by ADNEC Group alongside the Ministry of Defence and Tawazun Council, this edition aims to deliver an exceptional experience. The event is expected to draw significant international participation, including senior government officials, global corporations, and key UAE defence firms. IDEX and NAVDEX will serve as crucial platforms for showcasing innovations in defence and security technologies.

Major General Al Jabri highlighted the importance of this edition in spotlighting transformative technological advancements, especially those driven by artificial intelligence (AI). He remarked that "IDEX and NAVDEX provide a global platform to showcase the latest advancements in defence and security technologies, reflecting the UAE’s commitment to fostering innovation in this field."
The discussions also explored strategies for attracting advanced defence technologies. The role of AI in enhancing national defence efficiency was a key focus. Efforts are being made to strengthen the UAE's readiness to keep pace with rapid technological advancements while setting global benchmarks in defence standards.
Major General Al Jabri emphasised that innovative solutions will be prioritised to enhance the UAE's defence capabilities. He stressed that these advanced technologies are vital for bolstering national security and addressing global challenges. Attracting leading global companies specialising in advanced defence industries is crucial, with AI being a central theme of showcased innovations.
He further stated, "We recognise the critical importance of modern technologies, particularly AI, in enhancing the capabilities of the UAE’s national defence industries and enabling them to compete on a global scale." IDEX and NAVDEX play a vital role in supporting these technologies and improving operational efficiency.
