Sultan Bin Ahmed Explores Media Innovations At BRIDGE Summit 2025 In Abu Dhabi
H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, attended the BRIDGE Summit 2025 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). The event, held from 8-10 December 2025, gathers global leaders in media, content creation, and entertainment to discuss the industry's future.
The summit features over 300 events, including sessions and workshops across various tracks such as media, technology, gaming, music, marketing, and content creation. It attracts more than 60,000 participants from 132 countries and includes 430 global speakers. The event also hosts media and technology companies, creators, artists, and policymakers.
During his visit, H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed learned about Sharjah Media City's (Shams) participation in the summit. Shams introduced its latest initiative, "Madar Media," aimed at boosting growth in media and innovation sectors. This project seeks to enhance financial sustainability within Sharjah's creative industry by building a modern media ecosystem capable of competing globally.
Madar Media aims to merge creativity with technology to produce impactful content and launch sustainable projects worldwide. It offers comprehensive services for content creators and innovators through training, production, and digital creativity. The initiative also plans to develop a business ecosystem offering training via "Shams Training" platform.
H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed visited the UAE Media Council's platform to learn about the country's media sector initiatives. The platform highlights the UAE's institutional framework and modern regulations while showcasing Emirati media's professional advancements. It facilitates international dialogues and partnerships for knowledge exchange with global entities.
The Chairman watched a film documenting UAE media history from pre-Union days to its current state using advanced communication tools. The film emphasised efforts made in connecting the UAE globally while conveying its civilisational image.
Exploring Gaming Innovations
The Deputy Ruler also explored the "China Joy" pavilion representing Asia's electronic gaming industry. With 19 exhibitors from leading Asian gaming companies present, visitors could experience interactive spaces showcasing motion-based games and collaborative experiences.
The pavilion reflects BRIDGE Summit's spirit by uniting media, arts, and innovation under one umbrella. Demonstrations highlighted technologies reshaping digital entertainment landscapes while strengthening electronic gaming's future through cultural value.
Summit Goals
The BRIDGE Summit aims to create a global network connecting creators with investors for new projects that strengthen cultural collaboration economically. It serves as an ideal platform for those interested in digital content or seeking partnership opportunities within modern media sectors.
Accompanying programmes focus on innovation using advanced technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) or augmented reality (AR). They aim at developing creative economies by providing new platforms alongside significant investment opportunities within both media & entertainment sectors.

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed was accompanied by Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed (Chairman of BRIDGE), Hassan Yacoub Al Mansouri (Secretary-General of Sharjah Media Council), Rashid Abdullah Al Obad (Director-General of Shams), Mohammed Saeed Al Shehhi (Secretary-General of UAE Media Council), Salem Al Ghaithi (Director of Sharjah Broadcasting Authority), along with other officials from various media entities.
