Sultan Bin Ahmed Celebrates Achievements Of Graduates At Sharjah University 2025 Ceremony
H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, attended the Spring 2025 graduation ceremony. The event took place at University City Hall, celebrating 284 undergraduate students' achievements. The ceremony commenced with the UAE national anthem and a recitation from the Holy Qur’an.
Professor Issam El-Din Ajami, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, addressed the audience with pride. He acknowledged the graduates' accomplishments and expressed gratitude to their families and faculty for their support. Ajami also thanked Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed for his unwavering support of the university's mission to blend tradition with modernity in education.
Ajami highlighted the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. He founded the university on strong academic foundations. The institution now boasts the largest number of colleges and specialisations in the country, attracting students from over 95 nationalities.
The chancellor praised each college's distinct academic paths and their contributions to community service. He emphasised the university’s role in preserving national values, advancing knowledge in law and social justice, and adapting to digital advancements.
Ajami addressed graduates with pride, affirming their readiness to become agents of change. He encouraged them to embrace collaboration, lifelong learning, social responsibility, and creativity. Graduates were urged to launch projects or research that offer real value to society.
Saleh Mohammed Al Jasmi from the College of Law spoke on behalf of graduates. He expressed gratitude to the Ruler of Sharjah for founding the university and guiding its success. "You are a distinguished example of a leader who has dedicated his intellect, heart, and time to building a civilisation rooted in knowledge, culture, and justice," he said.
Acknowledging Supportive Figures
Al Jasmi spoke about H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi's unwavering support throughout their academic journey. Despite numerous responsibilities, Sheikh Sultan celebrated their achievements personally. This consistent presence reassured students they were never alone.
He thanked Sheikh Sultan for instilling confidence in graduates—confidence that helped shape a society proud of its roots. Al Jasmi concluded by expressing lasting gratitude and heartfelt prayers from all graduates.

Addressing graduates’ families, Al Jasmi described them as a source of strength before students understood its meaning—a light in times of darkness. He said their pride today surpasses certificates themselves: "To mothers who carried life's weight with love; fathers whose labour became our future's bridge—thank you."
Speaking directly to fellow graduates, Al Jasmi recalled memorable university moments—from parking struggles to exam papers—and shared how laughter filled classrooms alongside supportive teachers' footsteps.

In closing remarks, Al Jasmi paid tribute to faculty members: "We tip our hats to you—our respected professors—true meaning behind every success." Their patience left lasting marks on students’ hearts—a memory carried through life.

The Deputy Ruler extended congratulations wishing graduates continued success in future endeavours as they embark on new chapters equipped with skills gained during their time at university.
