Sultan Bin Ahmed Launches New Award Category At Government Communication Talk Forum In Sharjah

H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, attended the launch of a new award category by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau. This category, named "Distinguished Communication Imprint in Quality of Life," is part of the Sharjah Government Communication Award (SGCA). Nominations for this award will open on 20 March 2025.

The announcement was made during the Annual Government Communication Talk Forum at Aljada. This forum serves as a platform for members of the Government Communication Network in Sharjah to share experiences and discuss effective communication strategies. The introduction of this new category encourages government entities to prepare and compete for recognition at the SGCA ceremony.

The forum explored objectives related to the new category, which targets government entities in Sharjah. Several government entities showcased their projects under this category. The Department of Housing highlighted its initiative to enhance housing environments with sustainable solutions. The Department of Agriculture and Livestock presented projects supporting food security through smart systems and agricultural sustainability. Bee'ah Group demonstrated efforts to promote environmental sustainability using innovative communication strategies.

The forum featured discussions on best communication practices and strategies for developing innovative approaches aligned with technological advancements. Attendees emphasised integrating modern technologies and smart solutions to support sustainability efforts and improve quality of life.

On the sidelines, H.H. Sheikh Sultan met with the Chairman and members of the SGCA Jury. He was briefed on the award's history, categories, achievements, and future goals. Recommendations were made to enhance visibility, reinforce leadership in awards, improve transparency, and utilise winning entities' experiences.

The event was attended by notable figures including Eng. Khalid Butti Al Muhairi from the Department of Housing; Khaled Al Huraimel from Bee'ah Group; Tariq Saeed Allay from the Sharjah Government Media Bureau; Hassan Yaqoub Al Mansouri from the Sharjah Media Council; Aisha Rashid Deemas from the Sharjah Museums Authority; alongside senior officials, jury members, media professionals, and network members.

The SGCA has been instrumental in fostering innovative communication strategies that surpass traditional methods. It encourages creative integration of technology and artificial intelligence to create a positive impact on society.
