UAE Food Companies Showcase Innovation And Quality At SIAL Paris 2024 Exhibition

Several food companies from the UAE are taking part in "SIAL Paris 2024," a major global food industry exhibition. This event, held at Paris Nord Villepinte in France, runs until 23rd October and marks 60 years of SIAL as a significant platform for innovation and collaboration in the food sector. The UAE pavilion has impressed attendees with high-quality products meeting international standards.

Retailers, distributors, and investors have shown strong interest in forming partnerships with UAE producers. Saud Abu Alshawareb, Executive Vice President of Industrial Leasing at TECOM Group at Dubai Industrial City, stated to Emirates News Agency (WAM) that the UAE is dedicated to supporting foreign investments and promoting local companies through global exhibitions to enhance Emirati products abroad.

UAE's Strong Presence at SIAL Paris 2024

"The goal is not only to market UAE-made products but also to position the country as a hub for innovation and sustainable industries," Alshawareb noted. He highlighted that this aligns with national efforts to expand exports and facilitate international business. Dubai Industrial City supports this strategy by providing integrated logistics solutions connecting key infrastructure like Jebel Ali Port, Al Maktoum International Airport, and Etihad Rail.

Abdulrahman Al Ameri, CEO of Mars Food Industries, expressed his ambition to expand his company's international presence. As the first Emirati company specialising in producing and exporting infant grain flour, Mars Food Industries has already entered ten African markets. "We're now focused on Europe, Asia, and Latin America," said Al Ameri. "Our aim is to make UAE products a trusted part of children's nutrition worldwide."

Al Ameri credited Dubai's infrastructure and leadership support for their rapid success. He emphasised their commitment to maintaining high standards to compete globally. Similarly, Shereen Saeed, General Manager of Silverline Gate Foodstuff Trading, discussed her company's international expansion efforts. Specialising in dairy products, Saeed explained their aim to enhance their global presence by offering products that meet consumer and professional needs in the food sector.

"Our focus on quality and innovation has allowed us to export to 150 countries so far," she said. "Through SIAL, we aim to deepen existing relationships and explore new markets." The UAE's participation at SIAL is part of a broader strategy to grow its food exports and establish itself as a leader in sustainable food solutions.

Diverse Product Showcase

The event features over 7,500 exhibitors from 120 countries showcasing nearly 400,000 food products. The UAE pavilion highlighted the country's progress in advanced food manufacturing with a diverse range of offerings such as dates, organic goods, bottled water, and ready-made meals. This underscores the UAE's ambition to secure a competitive edge in global markets.

The participation of UAE companies at SIAL Paris 2024 reflects their growing role in the global food landscape. By showcasing innovative products that align with international standards, these companies aim to strengthen their position in various markets worldwide.
