Strong Turnout For Registration Ahead Of Abu Dhabi's Zayed Charity Run Benefiting Multiple Sclerosis Society
The 23rd Zayed Charity Run is set for this Saturday at Erth Abu Dhabi. Organised under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the event has seen a significant rise in registrations, nearing 9,000 participants from various age groups. The Higher Organising Committee has confirmed that all preparations are complete.
Lt. Gen. (Rtd.) Mohammed Hilal Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Committee, expressed satisfaction with the preparations and registration numbers. He noted that the total prize pool amounts to AED1.5 million. Proceeds will support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, aiding those with multiple sclerosis through awareness and research efforts.

The race day will commence at 7:00 am with a 10 km race for People of Determination, followed by a professional 10 km race at 7:05 am. Additional categories will continue throughout the morning, culminating in an awards ceremony at 9:00 am to honour the winners.
Participants are encouraged to finalise their registration before the official list is released. Race packets can be collected from Tuesday to Friday at Erth Abu Dhabi between 5:00 and 10:00 pm. Participants must verify their personal details and race distances during collection; proxy pickup is permitted with valid identification.
Parking and shuttle services will be available from Wahat Al Karama between 4:00 and 5:30 am, and from Zayed Sports City between 4:00 and 6:30 am on race day. Roads will be closed to vehicles starting at 6:00 am to ensure participant safety.
Lt. General (Retd.) Al Kaabi commended the committee's efforts alongside the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and partners for their dedication to ensuring a successful event. He highlighted that this run reflects the humanitarian legacy of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan by promoting values of generosity and support for those in need.
