Statistics Centre Abu Dhabi Unveils Bayaan Platform For Enhanced Decision-Making At GITEX Global 2024

The Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi (SCAD) has introduced the updated Bayaan Platform. This tool is crafted to provide real-time statistical insights and analyses for decision-makers in Abu Dhabi Government entities. It aims to improve the government's ability to monitor sector performance, make informed policy decisions, and quickly address new challenges.

The platform was unveiled at GITEX Global 2024 in Dubai, from 14th to 18th October. It was part of the Abu Dhabi Government pavilion under the theme "Towards an AI Native Government." This initiative marks a significant step towards digital transformation, aligning with the emirate's vision to lead in data management.

Bayaan offers decision-makers comprehensive statistical indicators and interactive insights. These features support strategic planning and proactive policy development. Users can customise advanced dashboards to visualise data and perform analyses, with flexible options for integrating new data sources.

The latest version of Bayaan introduces self-service features. Users can customise intelligent visualisations for scenario analysis and predict the impact of government policies across various sectors. The platform includes modern data analysis tools, from exploration dashboards for data preparation to advanced analytical dashboards using machine learning techniques.

Abdulla Gharib Alqemzi, SCAD's Director-General, stated, "Bayaan, the unified decision-making platform, not only showcases Abu Dhabi's leadership in the data landscape but serves as a direct outcome of the strong collaboration with our stakeholders who have contributed invaluable data, laying the foundation for innovative solutions and transformative socio-economic impact."

He further mentioned that SCAD is committed to providing decision-makers with cutting-edge solutions that facilitate data-driven policies. This commitment aligns with the emirate's ambitious strategy and leadership vision to effectively tackle challenges and seize opportunities.

Integration of AI Solutions

Badria Abdalla Obaid, Executive Director of SCAD's Foresights and Communication Sectors, highlighted that generative artificial intelligence solutions are integrated into Bayaan Platform. Government users can receive rapid insights through interactive visual formats across various sectors. The platform also offers access to geospatial data for geographic pattern analysis.

This feature enhances understanding of policy impacts across different regions of the emirate. Additionally, SCAD has made a public version available through a mobile application. This app provides individuals and organisations access to statistical data for personal and community-level decision-making.

Plans are underway to introduce generative AI features in future updates of this mobile application. By extending these benefits to a broader audience, SCAD aims to empower more people with valuable insights.
