SRTIP Board Unveils Comprehensive Strategy To Enhance Future Growth And Innovation
The Board of Directors of the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP) convened for its fourth session, chaired by Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi. The meeting aimed to chart the next phase of growth, building on the previous year's successes. Held at BEEAH Group's headquarters, it gathered industry, academic, and government stakeholders to strengthen Sharjah’s position as a regional innovation hub.
Sheikha Bodour expressed gratitude to board members and highlighted the importance of cross-sector partnerships. "SRTIP stands as a national model for innovation, where the synergy between research, industry, and policy continues to unlock transformative opportunities. Our shared mission is to deliver impactful outcomes in sectors that matter most to the future of our society—healthcare, mobility, sustainability, and manufacturing," she noted.

SRTIP CEO Hussain Al Mahmoudi presented key achievements from 2024 and outlined plans for 2025. The focus will be on infrastructure readiness, tenant expansion, and attracting innovation-driven enterprises. Al Mahmoudi stated, "With guidance from our board and support from our partners, SRTIP is entering an exciting phase of development—one that prioritises performance, strategic land use, and sectoral innovation. Our commitment to national goals and global competitiveness is stronger than ever."
Senior management provided a detailed review of SRTIP’s masterplan and leasing strategies. Updates included progress on Phase 1 clusters and significant land allocations for the SOTI initiative. Commercial partnerships like Base39 were also discussed.
Dedicated sessions highlighted sector-specific innovations in healthcare, advanced manufacturing, sustainability, and mobility. These sessions included projections for business growth and key milestones. A roadmap was presented to enhance ecosystem dynamics through deeper academic engagement with institutions such as AUS and UOS.
The team also addressed policies aimed at attracting talent and incentivising innovation. Updates on brand visibility efforts were shared alongside digital transformation milestones. SoiLab’s role in driving innovation through prototyping and SME engagement was emphasised.
Financial Stability and Future Plans
The board reviewed SRTIP’s financial outlook through 2027 with budget projections for 2025. Audit insights confirmed the Park’s financial stability and governance integrity. Internal transformation strategies focusing on HR development were discussed as essential enablers of operational excellence.
The meeting concluded with an open discussion on future steps followed by a tour of the "Naseej: Threads of Hope" exhibition. With strong alignment between strategic planning and execution, SRTIP reaffirmed its role as a key driver of Sharjah’s innovation economy.
